Yoga Therapeutics integrates active, somatic and restorative yoga with breathing practices, meditation and deep relaxation. This therapeutic class helps to release stresses and restore balance, calm and wellness. The practice releases tight spaces in the body with along with joint-freeing sequences and slow, gentle, fluid and somatic yoga – subtle embodied movements to cultivate greater mind-body awareness and help to release chronic tensions. This supportive class is helpful for those who feel stressed, tired, anxious and overworked. It helps to soothe your overactive nervous system, increase your vagal tone and facilitates deep conscious rest and relaxation. The practice also focuses on spinal health and helps to build overall muscular strength, mobility and flexibility whilst improving respiratory health and relieving stress and anxiety. This practice brings your body and mind into balance and enhances your optimum health and wellbeing. Although a small class, Paula provides variations and modifications throughout class to meet the needs of each individual student ensuring accessibility and participation for all who attend. This self-care and trauma sensitive class is for any age and experience and for those who wish to practice gently and relax deeply.
