Sunday Sanctuary

Sunday Sanctuary – Yoga Class

Sunday Sanctuary Yin & Restorative Yoga & Somatic Class Glasgow
The Sunday sanctuary class combines Yin Yoga, Restorative & Somatics. Each Sunday is an opportunity to slow down, rest and reset with gentle, mindful and quiet yoga. Each class is themed a little differently but all have a foundation of allowing the mind, breath and body to release and unwind.

Each Sunday class offers a nurturing and nourishing experience facilitated by our senior teacher Paula. The class is slow, gentle, floor based and suitable for every body. We create embodied movements and shapes to cultivate greater mind-body awareness, which helps release chronic tensions, stress and fatigue.

Each class ends with a guided relaxation supported by bolsters, pillows and blankets, with time given to “just be.” The 2 hour class is taught in our calm, peaceful and inclusive studio and is designed to soothe your mind and body, helping you to regulate your nervous system and leaving you feeling fully rested and re-charged.

Testimonials

If Paula could find a way to put her relaxing yoga and meditation classes into a bottle, I think the entire gin industry would collapse! These classes are simply amazing. I come away from them feeling gently stretched and toned but overall, entirely at peace with the world.

Paula is a fantastic teacher. Her classes and workshops always make me feel calm and relaxed. Her teaching style is very kind and nourishing, and she always offers accessible alternative poses. I loved the seasonal component to her last yin and yang workshop, it was very interesting and informative. Her guided yoga nidra and choice of meditative sounds are the best I’ve ever experienced.

Paula has a lovely warm and welcoming demeanour and is a master of relaxation technique…everyone leaves class breathing slower and feeling rested and restored! I would highly recommend her classes to everyone, from complete beginners to experienced yogis, as she offers options to allow students of all levels to access the benefits of yoga.
