Who Are We?
We are Paula and Pól, partners in yoga and partners in life, with a combined teaching experience of 34 years. As full-time teachers, we own Yoga Meditation Healing, a dedicated yoga and wellbeing studio in the West End of Glasgow. Our studio is a long-established and much-loved yoga centre of 18 years. We pride ourselves on providing authentic, experienced, and high-quality teaching, and firmly believe that Yoga is for Every Body, Every Mind, and Every One.
You will be under the direct tutelage of Paula and Pól throughout your journey. Paula is the course director and principal teacher, personally instructing 70% of the curriculum. As a former school teacher, Paula has been a professional educator for 26 years. Because of this background, our training is deeply steeped in a trainee-centred pedagogy delivered within an accessible, collaborative, practical, and experiential framework of learning.
Our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
We offer a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training qualification accredited directly by Yoga Alliance Professionals.
This foundational and modern teacher training is deeply rooted in the tradition of Hatha yoga and within the lineage of Sri T. Krishnamacharya. We provide a professional, authentic, ethical, and skilful training programme designed to equip you with the exact technical skills, knowledge, and confidence required to find your unique voice and style as an instructor. This immersive, comprehensive, and rigorous course beautifully weaves together theory and practice to deepen your understanding of the eight limbs of yoga.
We offer 180 contact hours and place a massive emphasis on the actual art of instructing. Extensive time is dedicated to developing your practical skills with plenty of live teaching practice, observation, feedback, evaluation, and peer review. In addition, your own personal practice will undoubtedly be refined by this deep immersion into self-enquiry and learning.
We believe it is vital for all our trainees to feel looked after and thoroughly supported, so we accept a maximum of 8 students per course. This strict limit guarantees that each individual is given undivided attention and tailored guidance.
Following graduation, we offer the support of a free ongoing post-graduate mentoring programme, helping you navigate the practicalities of creating your own public classes, coordinating your teaching schedule, and building a sustainable business.
